This summer I had the honor of doing a Destination Virginia Wedding in Harrisonburg, VA. We decided to make it a vacation. So, we stopped in some of our favorited places along the way. First stop, Ellijay, GA. Known for their apple festival and stunning fall colors. We enjoyed family, campfires, hiking and nature. Next stop Harrisonburg, VA. I used to live in Harrisonburg, so for me it was a nice refreshing retreat back. I met up with so many sweet friends. One could say I mixed business and pleasure!
Anna + Leo’s Vineyard wedding was perfection. It was hot but not too hot with a cool breeze and the sun kept going in and out of clouds that gave us some relief. It was a busy day, but a very good one. We had lots of time to document their beautiful day as they made photography a priority. Anna surprised Leo with their dog at the first look. It was so sweet as they read their vows to each other, I couldn’t help but tear up.
The décor was magnificent and there was love and joy in every moment and arrangement. Anna’s Mom hung her artwork in the venue for the reception and many friends and family helped put together the beautiful succulent arrangements and bouquets. They were STUNNING! Which really was no surprise because Donna was quite the artist. I may be biased, but you should hire her for all your Destination Virginia Weddings!
The reception was greeted by a beautiful sunset, and we all got to enjoy it indoors or out with the venues stunning floor to ceiling windows and wrap around two-story deck! We snook out for some sunset photos and everyone sipped the best wine that Bluestone Vineyard had to offer. Dad cried which made every woman tear up! His love for his little girl shined bright. Anna’s Mom was a huge part of the success of this event coming together.
Well, these two are off enjoying their Mexican Honeymoon, but enjoy some of the most beautiful photos with gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain views from their amazing wedding day!
