First, you should choose an engagement location that is special to the both of you. Maybe you choose your hometown or the first date spot? Maybe a place that represents both of what you love like the beach or coastal vibe or something earthy.
Second, you should consider your wedding and how casual or elegant it is. You can and should set the tone with your engagement photos. If you are having a big Palm Beach Wedding, you may consider having your engagement photoshoot on Palm Beach Island or on a yacht.
Lastly, you may want to consider your outfits! LADIES, we all want to feel beautiful and radiant. So, consider what that entails. If you feel sexy in heels, the beach may not be your dream location (unless you’ve got some chunky espadrille wedges like these.
Now, finally, let’s get to the BEST EPIC LOCATIONS around South Florida for your engagement sessions.
- Worth Ave is such a luxurious location with so many different textures and architecture to play with. Worth Ave is a famous destination and the heart of Palm Beach. There really aren’t many places that compare. It’s charm and luxury stand out and draw many in year-round. From the clock tower to Worth Ave, the Via’s and along Peruvian Ave alone will keep you busy posing for hours. We think this is the best of both worlds, luxury and beach for that coastal glam vibe. For this reason, it is high on our list.
- Downtown West Palm Beach is so much fun to shoot at. It’s for that trendy couple that loves speak-easies and mixed cocktails and some late-night tacos. Situated on the OTHER side of Palm Beach Island, it has much to offer a young chic couple. From clubs to adorable ice cream shoppes and graffiti adorned walls- It is a showstopper in its own way. The steps of the Harriet Himmel theater always provide a stellar backdrop for photos. City place and historical Clematis Street are a vibe in itself. If you are in downtown WPB it’s a must see. There are so many little gems for photography all around you and your favorite photographer will be smiling ear to ear.
- Next up, we have Coral Cove Beach in Jupiter, FL. Known for its “rocky cliffs” many locals and many photographers love it! There are so many spots and looks which is why it is a favorite! This location has wooden boardwalks, mangrove trees, glorious palm trees, sea oats, and most famous for its rocky cliff-like coastline. This location is best at low tide. Many people don’t know that, but if you go from mid-high tide, you may get wet!
- Our fourth location is newly famous and perfectly fitting. Love street in Jupiter is the heart of Jupiter. This waterfront destination of Jupiter Inlet Village is a tropical destination and hub for this unique boating community. It is our epicenter. Jupiter’s favorite street has many restaurants (our fave’s utiki and topside at Beacon are a must visit) and many photo opportunities with the backdrop of the inlet and our beacon, the Jupiter Lighthouse. When we photograph here, we do Dubois, Love Street and Jupiter Lighthouse. Its beautifully jam packed with gorgeousness and coastal charm. For a fee, you can have your engagement photos taken at the Jupiter Lighthouse. They do like 2–3-week notice. You cannot go to the top BUT you can get epic photos with the lighthouse and on the steps leading up to it and the stunning surrounding banyan trees on the property.
- Our fifth location is very well known and very beautiful. I always send couples this site if they “want something that doesn’t look like Florida”. Riverbend Park has glorious oaks, plenty of historical and rustic charm for that rustic chic bride. IF you want mossy oaks that reach from the sky to the ground, this is your place.
- THE WILD CARD! Outside of Palm Beach but oh so photo worthy that it has to be mentioned. It is one of my favorite places to shoot. Vizcaya, you had me at hello. The cost to shoot there is $375ish but oh so worth it. It is so romantic, which is perfect for a couple looking to for epic engagement photos. It is in a class of its own with Spanish architecture and love. The gardens are peaceful and manicured with love. They are very protective of their little slice of heaven so there are some rules, but nothing too crazy. If you ever want to shoot there, our answer is always a HELL YES! Vizcaya is many brides South Florida’s Wedding dream.
- The LOKOMOTIVE! Located on Center Street in Jupiter, it’s one of our favorite coffee houses! Their French toast latte is delightful. Don’t pass up this rustic, eclectic spot for your unique vision. They are always up for a collaboration and love all the love!
